How it works

The advice and the sale, kept apart

One dentist tells you what you need. A different dentist, at a partner practice, does the visit at a price fixed before you book. Neither can earn from changing the other's answer.

Four steps from photos to a booked visit

What the AI does, and what it never does

AI checks your photos are usable, looks for red flags and drafts the answer: a risk band, one of five visit types, and what you need now, what can wait and the worst case. A UK-registered dentist reads it, changes anything they disagree with, and signs it.

Never states a diagnosis as certain. It says "likely" and "the dentist will confirm".
Never names or compares a practice.
Never suggests cosmetic work unless you asked.
Every answer can be traced to the dentist who signed it.

The four answers to a treatment plan

When you send a quote, every line gets one of these, with a note from the dentist under it.

Likely neededThe treatment matches what the photos and X-rays show.
A practical option will doA simpler option is likely to work as well for now.
Can probably waitNothing here looks urgent. We set a date to check it again.
Needs an exam to decidePhotos can't settle it. We never charge for this line.

What the visit covers

The exam and any X-ray the dentist needs for that visit
The treatment your answer named, within its fixed scope
A photo set, and a 3D scan where the practice has a scanner
A 14-day review on stabilisation work

What it doesn't

Treatment beyond the visit, which the practice quotes at a member discount
Lab work such as crowns or dentures, unless your answer said so
Changes on the day without your consent, shown on your phone

Questions people ask

Is this a real dentist, or AI?

Both, in that order. AI reads your photos and prepares the case. A UK-registered dentist checks it and signs it. During the pilot, a dentist signs every answer.

What if I need more than the visit?

The dentist who examines you tells you. Anything beyond the visit is quoted by the practice at a member discount and paid to them. You can take that quote back to us for a check before you agree.

Do I pay for treatment through you?

No. You prepay the visit. Treatment beyond it is agreed with the dentist who examines you and paid to them. Instant Dentist earns nothing on treatment.

Who sees my photos?

The dentist checking your case and the practice you visit. Nobody else without your separate consent. Your photos are stored in the UK.

Is this insurance?

No. It is a dental advice and booking service. Access and Care plans are provided through a regulated partner.

What if I'm in severe pain or swelling?

If swelling is spreading to your eye or neck, or you have trouble breathing or swallowing, call 999 or go to A&E now. For urgent help out of hours, call NHS 111. Otherwise send photos: pain cases are answered the same day if sent before 18:00.
